San E says he wouldn't do 'Show Me the Money 5' even if his mom forced him to + talks about Black Nut

When the interviewer remarked on Black Nut's brutally honest diss against him and Verbal Jint on 'Show Me the Money 4 (SMTM 4)', San E replied, "[Black Nut] was so honest. But I didn't feel bad. After we were dissed, Jin-tae hyung (Verbal Jint) and I liked it enough to say, 'Wasn't that awesome?' When would we ever get cursed out like that? I can still remember the look in Black Nut's eyes. Verbal Jint was especially apologetic towards Hanhae but this kid was just too nice. He could have cursed us out as well but he held it in. He has a deep heart."

The interviewer then commented, "Black Nut is a character that is a first for Korean TV. Controversy always seemed to follow him." San E answered, "I told Black Nut, 'Not everyone is going to like your lyrics.' But I said if the lyrics are sincere, then I respect them. There's both good and evil in people. Because we [rappers] have written lyrics ever since we were young, we can understand better than the average citizen. As a person (and not the rapper), Black Nut is pure-hearted. While others were out playing and drinking, he only worked on his music at home even though he is 27-years-old. I'm not saying he is naive. I mean he tells it like it is without trying to embellish anything. Not too long ago, Kanye West said at an award ceremony, 'Artists should be true to what they feel and not be afraid of how other people will react to it.' Black Nut is the same way, which is what made me like him and want to help him."

Though San E may have formed many good memories on 'SMTM 4' he has no plans to appear on the show for the fifth season. He said, "I won't go on the show even if my mother begs me to. I think it's better to watch more interesting people come out to paint a new picture. I've taken away a lot of things from doing 'SMTM 4.' It gave me a chance to reflect on myself. I wanted to protect the things I have but I couldn't bring them down. But I'm thankful that [SMTM 4] gave me the chance to do so. That way I could improve myself. The show gave me a chance to reinvent my way of thinking."

San E concluded the interview with, "I'm an ordinary person. Sometimes I think that I'm cool, or that I'm a fool... I make mistakes and want to help people, too. I want to become someone who is a good person to the people around me and can help them. I don't want to regret the embarrassing things that I've experienced. Even the dark periods in my life is part of what makes me who I am. I will continue making mistakes, doing foolish things, and show off my suave side. That's how I'm learning while living my life."
