At the Seoul Music Forum, FNC Entertainment CEO Han Sung Ho talked about the company's representative girl group, AOA, who is making a comeback in Japan.

Han Sung Ho said, "Many people think of AOA as a dance group, but they are fundamentally a band. AOA is receiving love in Asia, and they are receiving a lot of interest in Japan too."

He added, "AOA has both a band and a dance team. That's why in Japan, we'll promote, alternating between broadcast performances and live sessions."

The AOA members debuted with both a dance and band unit, but unfortunately the band side of the group has been put on hold lately as the group became more popular as a dance group. Here's to hoping that we'll see the girls release new songs as their band unit again too!

I think he meant to say the band concept didn't work and they needed to make money (which is respectable.) I've never been a fan of AOA but i def think they are a performing group. nothing wrong with that, but lets just call a spade a spade.

I think they're just saying this for the heck of it. They haven't had any band performances in awhile and it's clear that they've only become as successful as they are now because they became ;a dance performance group. A band ;is like CNBLUE or FT Island who consistently make music and perform with their instruments.

It is kinda sad that it was the typical style of sexy dance group which fueled their popularity. I actually like their band performances back then more. ;
