Stephanie assures she's still an SM Entertainment artist and expresses her fondness for the agency

CSJH The Grace, Stephanie

Some fans might have been confused when CSJH The Grace's Stephanie had a solo release with "Prisoner" not under SM Entertainment but through Mafia Records. People wondered, did she leave SM Entertainment and join Mafia Records? She laid the confusion to rest through an interview session with a few media outlets.

She stated, "I'm still an SM Entertainment artist. I'm promoting now through Mafia Records through a 'consignment agreement'."

She then relayed her fondness for her agency, commenting, For the past 12 years, I haven't even once had a dispute with the people that work at SM Entertainment."

"Actually, after I [temporarily] left SM, I realized just how precious each broadcast schedule and each line of every article [about me] are. I realized that it had been because of the hard work and efforts of the people behind me that I'm able to stand where I am now. Because of them, I'm able to promote as much as I want and I'm so glad."

She also mentioned that it was harder to secure TV appearances and such without the name of SM behind her, for she's currently promoting her solo release under the name of Mafia Records. So it seems leaving SM temporarily has helped her further realize and feel grateful about the support and backing that comes with a large agency such as SM .
