Following news of Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Joo Na's relationship as half-siblings, both their agencies have commented on questions that have come up.
As this information was suddenly revealed by insiders in the industry, Kim Joo Na's agency was suspected of intentionally leaking the info to promote the singer. However, her side denied that they released the info. Her label stated on July 22, "It's true that Kim Joo Na is Kim Soo Hyun's half-sister. The news came out so suddenly that we were caught offguard. Kim Joo Na hasn't debuted officially yet."
The rep added, "There was no intention to promote her with the news that she's Kim Soo Hyun's half-sister. We didn't try to hide the fact either, and we feel burdened that it's unintentionally made headlines. Kim Joo Na herself is also surprised."
