Netizens speculate Jessi is bitter over diss battle with Kisum

(Jessica H.o.) Jessi
Remember when Jessi acknowledged Kisum's skills during her appearance on tvN's 'Taxi'? Well, netizens suspect that the good sportsmanship is a front and that Jessi actually is feeling hurt over Kisum's diss rap. Not that they're blaming her.

On April 8, a netizen made a post on Nate titled, "About Jessica disliking Kisum...." In the post, which has now gained over 160,000 views, the netizen compiles a list of comments around the internet, showing that there are rumors that Jessi dislikes Kisum because she immediately unfollowed her on Instagram after 'Unpretty Rapstars' ended. This came as strange news to some, who had the impression that the 'Unpretty Rapstars' cast members got along despite the onscreen tension they displayed.

The netizen writes that they personally feel sorry for Jessi, speculating that the reason behind the souring relationship is due to Kisum's "Itaewon rap" she made during their final diss battle.

In the clip shown below, Kisum says, "A place the suits unnie is Itaewon. / Everyone already knows about your scandalous behavior.

Many believe that this is a reference to Jessi's Itaewon assault scandal, when Jessi was accused of assaulting a woman with her two friends. At the time, Jessi denied these accusations, claiming she was only attempting to prevent a fight between her friends and the assault victim. The charges were later dropped, but according to the netizen, it is because of this assault scandal, Jessi changed her stage name Jessica H.O and was unable to promote actively for a while.

The netizen writes, "Honestly, Kisum should've known that [the scandal] was a huge blow to Jessi, but she still mentioned it. If Kisum really thought of Jessi, she wouldn't have talked about it. That incident almost ruined Jessi's life; if you look it up on the internet, you'll see it took three to four years for her to clear up the misunderstanding.

Netizens are divided on the matter, although the majority on Nate appear to side with Jessi. Top comments read: "Even before that diss battle, Kisum would say that everything she said was fact. If you're going to diss, then you should just diss what's there, but Kisum acted as if Jessi really assaulted someone. It's wrong of her to say that her words are fact," "You should diss based on the truth," "But 'Unpretty Rapstars' seems to be edited strangely. A kind of editing that aims to capture a concept? Jolly V is bad but the editing made her look like a complete asshole, and Cheetah is always shown frowning with a tough concept," and, "Why is Jessi considered on a goddess on Pann Nate? Keke, why does this kid get so much praise, I'm honestly like, no keke. If there's someone like Jessi around you, would you guys praise her like this?

What do you guys think? Should Kisum have mentioned the assault scandal regardless if it's true or not? Is everything fair in love, war, and diss battles? Or did she take things too far?
