There are four different kinds of blood types: A, B, AB, and O. In East Asia, blood types are more than just medical terms; they determine your personality and preference in people, work, and even food. Some of you may have even noticed this obsession with blood types among your favorite K-Pop idol groups, as the name of boy band B1A4 is based on the members' blood types (one B and four A's) and MBLAQ's fan base is called A+ because all the members are A's. 4minute even revealed in the past that member HyunA classified men by their blood types.

On October 29, allkpop released a pop quiz asking you, "What Blood type personality are you?" Now, let's look over each blood type personality in detail and see how they affect us in our social, work, and love lives!
Blood type A - The Role Model
Blood type A's make the perfect role model material because they strive for success, kindness, and polite mannerisms. Although A's get very stressed easily and over think things, A's will try to keep it together and do the best that they can for the sake of order and for the sake of their loved ones during crisis situations.
PROS: perfectionist, analytical, organized, responsible, meticulous, compassionate, earnest, creative, sensible, patient, calm, well-mannered
CONS: stubborn, sensitive, worrywart, obsessive, shy, reserved, self-conscious, uptight
Social Life: Reliable and kind, type A's will care for you like a mother, but will avoid confrontation because they dislike conflict. As a result, they may be passive aggressive when angered or hurt. Because they feel uncomfortable around people and spontaneity, type A's might also feel awkward during crazy parties.
Work life: Very reliable. Type As are perfectionists so their work will be the very best. However, they tend to obsess over details and can get stressed easily. Those who don't understand Type As' anxieties may have a difficult time working with them.
Love life: Type A's don't open up easily because they're self-conscious, shy, and can get paranoid. Those who attempt to court type A's will need to be patient. When a type A does eventually return your love, however, the reward is very satisfying. Type A's are selective, and when they choose you to be their partner, they'll let you in on all their complexities and show you sides that only you are privy to.
Compatible with AB's and O's. AB and O's are reliable when needed the most, which will put an A at ease. A's tend to not get along with B's or sometimes even other As, as B's spontaneity will alarm and unsettle A and two A's may squabble over small details.

Blood type B - The Rebel
Blood type B's are rebels who simply can't be tamed. Passionate and driven, B's can be the life of the party as well as ambitious people with big dreams. Although they can be harsh, stubborn, and hard to get along with at times, B's are commendable for staying true to themselves no matter what the rest of the world says.
PROS: passionate, active, ambitious, imaginative, creative, fun, emotionally strong, optimistic, opinionated, independent, unconventional
CONS: selfish, irresponsible, unforgiving, erratic, stubborn, blunt, harsh, hot-tempered
Social life: Fun and wild, type B's are the life of the party. They can be hard to deal with at times, however, because they're stubborn and want to do their own thing.
Work life: Although type B's will aim high in terms of goals, they may be stubborn work partners who refuse to cooperate and would rather do things their own way.
Love life: Partners will always have fun with a type B, but will need to be patient with their hot tempers as well as erratic and irresponsible behavior. Partners will also need to be aware that type B's can be harsh and don't always mean what they say because when a B loves, they really cherish that special someone.

Blood type AB - The Variety Star
AB's are so quirky that they deserve their own variety show. Known for their "split personality," ABs show off an array of different traits from shy to outgoing, rational to irrational, and even calm to crazy. AB's are unpredictable balls of energy, making them some of the most interesting people you will ever meet.
PROS: friendly, adaptable, 4D, interesting, unpredictable, random, imaginative, quirky, highly intelligent, rational, practical, philosophical
CONS: indecisive, forgetful, moody, aloof, emotional, untrustworthy, critical, selfish
Social life: AB's make entertaining friends. They can be quirky and fun, but they are also very smart and can have intellectual conversations. As they can get a bit emotional and unpredictable at times, some believe that AB's are not trustworthy or loyal to their friends.
Work life: Although they will provide entertainment at the workplace, they are not that dependable.
Love life: Having a relationship with an AB is a blast. There will never be a boring moment with an AB. However, as AB's are sensitive and can get emotional at times, they can be a bit critical and hurtful with their words. AB partners need to be understanding of AB's emotional tendencies and know when to give an AB his/her space.

CONS: aggressive, arrogant, self-centered, irresponsible, dramatic, vain, obsessive, easily distracted
Social life: Blood type O's make reliable friends whom you can count on to be there for you through thick and thin. Honest, O's will be upfront about things. Flexible, O's will be open to whatever you'd like to do without judgment. They can be annoying, however, as they'll strive to be the center of attention.
