Although most of the time, celebrities let their agency handle a dating rumor and prepare a response, singer Lim Chang Jung came up with some amusing statements of his own in response to a recent article claiming he was currently seeing somebody.

On October 22, one media outlet claimed, "Lim Chang Jung is currently in a relationship with a non-celebrity female in her 30's whom he met at a recent gathering of friends." The article claimed that Lim Chang Jung and his girlfriend recently went vacationing together on Jeju Island and event attended a weekend golf vacation with their friends.

In response, agency NH Media responded quickly with, "Lim Chang Jung had a golf gathering with his friends on Jeju Island, and it appears a misunderstanding arose there. Lim Chang Jung is even happy that a dating rumor unintentionally became a hot topic as he is preparing a new album for next month and his movie 'Extraterritoriality.'"

While Lim Chang Jung did seem happy about the dating rumor, he also seemed somewhat disappointed with the way his agency handled it.  The singer personally took to his fan community to write jokingly, "[To the agency], if you take action that quickly, you don't even give it a chance to go up on the real-time search rankings... I need two days in order to save face," making fans laugh by suggesting his agency should've waited before denying it so quickly and suggesting it was embarrassing to have done so.

He continued with comments, "Please pray for it to be true, you guys," and, "I know which acquaintance spilled it to the media, but you should've investigated more.  Sloppy."

Netizens responded with appreciation, "Lim Chang Jung's official statement is the best," and, "Lim Chang Jung's official statement has good sense."
