Beenzino addresses plagiarism issue surrounding 'Dali, Van, Picasso'

Beenzino
Artist Beenzino recently became embroiled in a plagiarism controversy for his track "Dali, Van, Picasso."  On January 20, a rep from his agency revealed their official stance on this situation.

The rep said, "The company related to Beenzino's song 'Dali, Van, Picasso,' which was released in December, was unable to recognize if the relevant song had used samples during its working process."

The rep continued, "This problem was brought up on the internet message boards, which was how we came to realize the situation . . . After the company checked to see if this was true or not, we immediately contacted the copyright company for the original, sampled song Chet Baker's 'Alone Together' and we plan on talking with them to go through the formalities for sampling clearance . . . We will handle the situation with the utmost speed and let you know the results as soon as they come out.  We apologize for unintentionally causing concern to music fans."
