Seo Ye Ji plays the role of the wild and unpredictable maknae daughter of the Noh family, Noh Soo Young. Julien Kang plays the role of the boyfriend who Seo Ye Ji meets during her study abroad in Spain. Julien Kang's character loves Noh Soo Young so much that he goes all the way to Korea for her and stays by her side even when asked to break up.

A staff member commented, "Seo Ye Ji and Julien Kang perfectly carried out their first filming with their outstanding visuals and natural acting as a couple. Although it was their first filming, their acting was so impressive that they almost looked like a real couple. 'Potato Star 2013QR3' is the�work of the mastermind behind the 'High Kick' series�Kim Byung Wook PD. However, as the director previously made it clear, this new sitcom is not 'High Kick 4'.�The drama revolves around the happenings of the Noh family as Na Jin Ah (Ha Yeon Soo) and computer programmer Hong Hye Sung (Yeo Jin Goo) get themselves entangled with them.
