JYJ warmed the hearts of their fans with the generosity of their latest donation as ambassadors for 'KBEE 2012' ('Korea Brand & Entertainment Expo 2012'). The trio, who recently received the Commendation of the Minister award, have had a lot of success as one of the top Hallyu acts, and they're making sure to use their fame for a good cause by donating their profits to UNICEF.
Jaejoong revealed, "Through 'KBEE' last year, we were joyful to be a part of the meaningful exchange between two countries [Korean and Japan]. We will now have an opportunity to think of those in need. We hope that our donations to UNICEF will be a small help to many underprivileged children across the world."
Head of KOTRA Kim Byung Kwon stated, "In the middle of rising international interest around K-pop, we anticipate that this social contribution will widen the horizon of the Hallyu wave. KOTRA will work together with generous Hallyu stars like JYJ to positively contribute to the spread of K-pop."
Jaejoong will be representing all three members of JYJ at the UNICEF donation ceremony on March 5th.
