IU asks "Will you marry me?" on 'Sketchbook'
The nation's little sister, IU, has once again melted the hearts of many fanboys, but this time with a proposal.
The singer made a guest appearance on the May 25th episode of KBS 2TV's 'Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook' and performed her self-composed song "Peach". During the middle portion of the song, instead of singing "Do you want to marry me", IU paused and eyed the camera as she asked, "Will you marry me?" causing the male audience to squirm in glee.
After her live performance of "Peach", host Yoo Hee Yeol asked IU, "What did you say during the middle of the song? You seemed to be flirting," to which IU reiterated her proposal. Yoo Hee Yeol remarked, "The male audience members erupted with joy."
The host then asked regarding her song "Peach". "I first found out about this song after seeing 'IU's racy peach' as the most searched term on a portal site. I thought a new peach with a different sugar content had come out, so I clicked on it, but was instead met with a drawing. What kind of thought did you have after becoming 20 that made you draw it?"
IU responded saying, "My agency requested me to draw a peach so that they could use it for my teaser. But it turned out looking too much like a butt, so we used a different drawing."
