On August 21st, singer Im Jae Bum was sued on charges of assault. Seocho Police revealed that on August 20th, they received a complaint from an entertainment company employee named Kim (28) who claimed that Im Jae Bum and two of his bodyguards had assaulted him. According to the report, Kim asked Im Jae Bum on July 29th to "lower the volume" since he was working in the same building.� Kim claimed that Im Jae Bum, who had been rehearsing for his concert at the time, stepped up and assaulted him for "being cocky." Kim submitted a medical certificate of diagnosis for three weeks of injury treatment along with his complaint. A representative of Im Jae Bum's agency, Yedang Entertainment, stated, "According to our investigations, Im Jae Bum and an engineer in his 20's bickered a bit in Yedang's recording room in the basement.� At the time, Im Jae Bum was vocal training a junior while working on his concert. An engineer that was recording in another room came and asked him to lower the volume, which sparked the whole event. We're not sure if a fight broke out, but the two had a deep conversation that night and even had breakfast the next day before going out for a match of tennis." They continued, "We're not sure exactly why he's come back with this nearly a month later.� At the time, Im Jae Bum did not want to ruin their friendship and kept his cool, but we're thinking maybe it was his bodyguards who committed something in place of him."
