The Central Seoul�Prosecutor's�Office prosecuted her for her role in running from her car after hitting another vehicle. The actress was charged on October 5, 2010 in Seoul Chungdam-dong with running away from her car after hitting a taxi. After the �accident she announced through her agency "I drove after having several glasses of champagne and hit a car . I was so shocked and scared that I just wanted to flee the scene. I'm very sorry." On the other hand, during the police investigation, because Kim's blood alcohol content was 0.029%, less than the legal limit of 0.05%, she was able to dodge the drunk driving charge.
