Having made a big name for himself as one of the most popular musical actors in Korea, Min Young Ki has recently released his first ever album 12 years after his debut, and he has appropriately titled it "The 1st". Unlike his usual musical numbers, the album consists of a fresh ballad sound, which he has never shown to the public before. During a recent interview with Newsen, the actor revealed why he suddenly decided to release an album. "It was a dream since I was young. One of my main goals was to release an album of my very own and I also wanted to start a new challenge. I picked a ballad style to bring in interest from people other than musical lovers. Recording songs and singing in a musical proved to be very different, with things such as the singing style, expression, and emotion. The plan to release an album started two years ago, and we started to produce and work on it a year ago. It took a fairly long time to decide on the concept, and of course I don't feel completely satisfied with it; there are many things missing, but I consider it as my first step." He is currently busy with the musicals The Three Musketeers and Mozart, which star�Super Junior's Kyuhyun and JYJ's Junsu. He will also start promoting his album next year.
