As previously announced, SNSD lit up the MBC Music Core Summer Special stage with two special performances: a rendition of Seoyeon's 2003 remix of Deux's 1994 hit "In Summer", and the duet "One Year Later" from SNSD's mini-album, featuring Jessica and SHINee's leader Onew. Awesome. This performance shows everything fans love about Onew and Jessica. From Onew's vanilla voice, to Jessica's ice-princess beauty, to the Onew sangtae manifesting itself in a cracked voice at 2:44, to Jessica's ice-princess stare, the essence of both entertainers are on full display. Adorable. What else is there to say? The SM nonagon also performed their hit "Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)" - a typically tight performance, but MBC probably should have turned down the brightness level a bit. Or maybe it wasn't overly bright at all, and I'm just getting old. 너무 반짝반짝 눈이 부�", no no no no no. But the stage, seemingly custom-made for their "marine girl" concept, was rather rad. If that wasn't enough SNSD for you, Tiffany and Yuri did their usual aegyo-filled emceeing for the music program. Kudos to prot0980 and CodeMonmonSeason2 for the videos.
