KARA was chosen as the 'best rookie artist' according to a Japanese mobile ringtone site, Recochoku. The site revealed their 2010 yearly chart rankings on December 1st and revealed that KARA had knocked out the other rookie artists to grab the #1 title. KARA's Japanese single, "Mister," is currently ranked #1 in their music video chart, #2 in their video chart, and #5 in their ringtone chart. KARA's second Japanese single, "Jumping," entered the top three in Recochoku's ringtone chart on November 10th and is now ranked #1 and #4 in ringtones, #1 in video, and #2 in music video. Recochoku is a highly popular site amongst Japanese teens and young adults in their 20's that enjoy decorating their phones. KARA's two singles have both been hits as ringtones, showing that the group is appealing to the Japanese youth. On the other hand, the group's first official Japanese album, "Girl's Talk," managed to sell 107,403 copies within its first week.
