Actress Kim So Eun’s agency, N.O.A Entertainment is considering taking legal action against those who are impersonating her on Twitter.
Her agency revealed, “Kim So Eun recently reflected to us that someone is impersonating her on Twitter, and we are really shocked. We are considering legal action against these fraudsters with the help of the Internet police.”
The fake Twitter account, SoEun_twit in question had used Kim So Eun’s name to post her photos and 19 tweets, with over 1,500 followers. With only select high-profile accounts flagged by Twitter for verification, fake celebrity Twitters are commonplace.
Kim So Eun said, “I’m not on Twitter. I only realized this when my agency’s colleague asked why didn’t I reply to their tweets on Twitter. I found it weird and realized someone had impersonated me on Twitter. I hope that my fans won’t be fooled or follow anymore. This person was smart to use the words and photos from my Cyworld. It’s scary to think that someone is impersonating me.”
Besides the fake Twitter above, there’s apparently another one, SoEunKim which looks even more fake since the tweets are all in English and it currently has 9,745 followers. So beware, Kim So Eun does not use Twitter, she only uses Cyworld.
