I'm sure many of us were caught off guard when Jokwon and Ga In were announced as this week's winner on KBS 2TV Music Bank for their lovely duet, We Fell in Love. Aside from the fact that they were up against two popular songs by two popular idol groups - Heartbeat by 2PM and Bo Peep Bo Peep by T-ara - they won this week's K-Chart with absolutely no album sales, but from the points accumulated from digital online charts alone. However, the most surprised individual of all was probably the leader of 2AM himself. In 2009, Brown Eyed Girls, which Ga In is the resident mascot a member of, revolutionized their image and style with Abracadabra. After the song was released, it quickly topped various online charts and eventually earned them a "Mutizen Song" award on SBS Inkigayo. On the other hand, Jokwon has not yet received the same level of success with his own ballad group, 2AM. Granted, some of their songs were well-received by the public, but it was not enough for the group to win first place on any music program. Following the results of this week's K-Chart winner, Jokwon, who was unable to accept the award personally, delivered an acceptance speech through his me2day to express his reaction of winning on a music program for the first time with his "wife" Ga In.

"Ah really, I didn't even imagine this. Winning first place... It's really hard to believe. I am truly thankful! I was eating dinner with Jin Young hyung when, all of a sudden, I started receiving a flood of texts and phone calls. I was wondering what they were all about and it turns out that we had won first place. Really, I was so happy and wanted to shout from the top of my lungs, but Jin Young hyung was dining right next to me so I restrained myself. Jin Young hyung congratulated me and seemed very proud. It felt good. This time, 2AM album daebak!!!!"

Congrats to the happy couple for their first K-Chart win together. Hopefully, Jokwon can rise to the #1 spot again--this time, with the rest of the 2AM members and their album, which is slated for the 21st.
