As 2009 slowly comes to a close, it’s the season of spoils again – with award ceremonies and gayo daejun festivals coming up, who can’t be excited? MAMA (MNet Asian Music Awards) has got everyone buzzing about the good and bad, but hey, despite disappointments and boycotts, no one can deny that Korea’s got its eyes on some of the performers on MAMA’s star-studded guest list.

they deserve it all…esp. 2ne1 and GD.. 2ne1 have their own style and have unique genre than snsd.. snsd are for little girls so good in acting cute..tweeetums.. 2ne1 have also different beauties,talents and multilingual.. snsd? they are cute but all the same..boring
2NE1 definitely deserves! GD and 2PM deserved it– but if SJ was there, they’d take home the album and artist. I’m not biased (recall the major popularity that happened to SJ this year?) Happy for SJ because they were at least recognized for their overseas accomplishments :) — these shows probably are biased in a way, but if the top artists don’t attend, they obviously have to give it to the next best.
bahaha sorry to burst anyone’s bubbles but if SM and all the other world renown kpop stars decided to show, half these people don’t have a chance. and I am not biased in any way.

Hm. It’s a shame about the end of the year Awards show being biased..
If it wasn’t as biased, it would have really been a great show to watch.. All the entertainment companies, all the girlgroups/guygroups together in one place.. Winning awards that they really, truly deserved. It’s a shame about Mnet/SME problems.. SM really does have some of the most talented artists in the Kpop Industry.

@860 FYI SUper junior and SNSD sold way more copies than their Hanteo sales. Let me remind u Hanteo is just 1 of the many charts in Korea. and everyone knows that SNSD sold more than 150k for both their mini albums and SUJU sold more than 200k for their album, 300k if u wan to consider their worldwide sales, no.1 in taiwan, philippines etc.
and for the hits, we know very well, it was reported that SNSD Gee remains the most downloaded song of the whole year. and SNSD is the only girl group to have 6 consecutive no.1 hits. 4 from their first album followed by gee and genie. all the songs have at least a win in any music shows or topped online or offline chart. Talk about who is more deserving for Best group of the year.
