Kangin has visited the police station
Kangin of Super Junior was recently in a DUI accident and he finally visited the police station on the 18th to go over the details of his hit and run accident two days earlier.
In an interview with Newsen, a police representative said, “Kangin came to us at midnight on the 18th. He was questioned for about 1 hour and Kangin has admitted to everything. He told us that he was drunk so he ran away but then felt guilty so he came back and confessed. We believe he left the scene of the accident because he was under the influence of alcohol, and hence he was not in a state to make the right decision. We now need to go over the victims’ take on things.”
The police also revealed that Kangin will be sent to a prosecutor for further investigations and his punishment will be passed once everything has been checked.

he did not do this on purpose. He was just drunk. And if he was not drunk, Im sure he would help the victim.

Man this sucks, hope he learned, maybe he should go to jail for a few days or a night, not like he would be there long cause, he’s an idol. Its true they get off easy, can’t deny it.

I don’t see how alcohol is an excuse. Yeah, it impairs your judgement, but only if *you* drink enough to let it. In the end, it’s his fault he was drunk.
Could one of you ELF explain what you mean by “support”? I don’t want to see his career ruined, but DUI and hit-and-run are both pretty serious crimes IMO. The fact that he didn’t seriously hurt anyone is more luck than a good defense for his actions. I love SuJu, I don’t want this to hurt the group, but at the same time I can’t condone a drunk driver getting off scot-free.

Wow. That’s just ridiculous: “…he was under the influence of alcohol, and hence he was not in a state to make the right decision.” Korea: the only country in the world where you can get away with a crime/get a lighter punishment for committing a crime while drunk. The “I was drunk” defense is absolutely ridiculous.
You guys should read about the Na-Young rape case. Not only is it horrific, but the rapist uses the same “I was drunk” defense to explain his disgusting crime, and he DID end up with a lighter punishment because the court took his drunken state into account.
