Marco (full name Marcos Benjamin Lee), actor / model from Argentina, admitted that a rumor about him fighting another model in a night club was true.
The rumour is as follows: Marco was hanging out with his buddies at Club Eden of Ritz Carlton Hotel in Seoul, and so was model Bae Jung Nam and his friends (which include Heechul and Kangin of Super Junior). Bae spotted Marco, came up to him and said some disrespectful things. Marco did not take him lightly, and Marco’s friends backed him up, while Bae was backed up by… strangers because all his friends were just watching (with Kangin being kept busy with girls he picked up and Heechul running away and hiding in the washroom). Fight began and was soon broken up by the bouncers, but Bae ended up losing his two front teeth (ouch!).
When MC Kang Ho Dong asked Marco about this rumour on last night’s episode of Ya Shim Man Man (야심만만), Marco answered, “Why not?”, and explained, “Us South Americans have quick tempers and we express our emotions freely. I got a lot of misunderstanding in Korea because I’m so used to that culture.” He also added, “I don’t go clubbing much after what happened.”
So the rumour, or at least the part about fighting, has been proven to be true. My deepest condolescence to Bae Jung Nam, who lost a fight, two teeth and a great chunk of his reputation thanks to his loss being aired on national TV.
