When Uhm Jung Hwa decided to recapture her youth and join the party scene in music, she set in motion of a new trend. Many others are trying to follow in her footsteps.
Many people think DJ Zo is an old washed up star, but he’s making a comeback. Not familiar with the name? It’s a new stage name but his real name is Jo Sung Hwan, a 34 year old man who was once part of a old school semi-popular duo group called Yook Gak Soo. The new solo artist will be heading in a hip-hop/dance/trot (the oldest form of music in Korea; folk-like) all in one direction.
The music video below is for his song Would You Please, and it parodies a great deal of Kpop groups out there right now. You’ll notice throughout the video parodies of Kara, Brown Eyed Girls, SNSD, and G-Dragon.
Now the real questions is… is he Jack Sparrow or did he just return from a reggae party?
Is this going to be a hit, or is this just a failed attempt to try to get back in the limelight?
