F.T. Island has been rocking up the K-pop world with their recent album release and comeback performances but there have been claims that F.T. Island has “stolen” their songs from other artists. I’ll let you be the judge.
First netizens picked up that F.T. Island’s song The Angel and Woodman sounds like Jason Mraz’s Live High.

To be honest I believe I’ve heard that same chord progression used in other songs too. But the next comparison, that AMShakeIt picked up, is eerily similar. It’s McFly’s 5 Colours In Her Hair and FT Island’s Bing Bing Bing.

McFly are much more “Beach Boys” here but some of F.T. Island’s riffs are very similar to McFly’s. The song structure here is very similar as well. However, the chorus melodies are very different. So what do you think? Did F.T. Island, or rather, whoever writes their songs, steal from other artists?
