A reporter from IS Plus recently broke a rumored story that BoA was planning a comeback to the Korean market with a new album after more than 3 years of concentrating on the Japanese market.
The reporter stated that BoA is planning to return with a target date for late September – October and that she is secretly filming her music video in the shadows. This got some of the BoA fans in Korea buzzing.
Unfortunately, this same reporter later stated that he had received misinformation and that she wasn’t planning a comeback. The video she was filming was for a documentary for her fans and not a secret music video for a new album.
All this got me thinking, when is BoA actually coming back to Korea with a new album? Sure, she’s enjoyed much success in Japan but it’s been 3 years since she released “Girls on Top.” I hope there was some truth to the rumors / misinformation and that BoA releases a new Korean album very soon. Sure SM Entertainment is quite busy with their other artists and their upcoming releases, but there is only one BoA.

It’s pretty much a rumor. To me, BoA is a Japanese wannabe. She should have come to Korea since. It’s her hometown. I’d understand if she spent 4 years or the rest of her life in America. She can go visit Korea but staying in Japan doesn’t get you oh so famous. If you sing in America you’re surely to get famous around the world. That’s why so many Asian singers are shooting to go debut in America, like SE7EN, and Rain! Don’t think BoA should come back if she already ditched Korea.
Gosh, I wouldn’t be surprised if some new kpop listeners didn’t know who BoA was but she is the most successful Korean artist in Japan, with a number one single, consecutive number 1 albums that can only be beaten by one Japanese artist and has the highest sales for a foreigner. She is talented and is a beautiful person inside out, whatever haters think do not affect me much anymore because guess what? BoA is happy! She has fulfilled what she was trained for and worked hard for. What have the haters worked hard for? Nothing if they spend their time chasing after these ariticles just to prove their stupid opinion.
She is so HOT!

boa is boa….one hell of a performer….no one can level her stage performance……though she might not have this super powerful voice….she has this charisma that everyone is dying for…..wherever Boa will go..she is a star…and everyone doesn’t agree with this truth….

It just seems to me like this rumor is spreading just generate some buzz over her. Its just like the whole oops Hyori’s album “accidentally” leaked. Its just the same deal here. She could very well be making a comeback but since she hasn’t been in the k-pop scene for years, there needs to be some kind of buzz to spark people’s interest in her once again. Its all a marketing ploy, there are people who are paid just to market and advertise, so just trying to get people back interested in her.
I honestly don’t really care for BoA all that much, I enjoyed a few of her songs, but I can only stand listening to her voice for so long~ I think there are way more talented people in the k-pop industry that never ever get the recognition that they deserve, the only thing she did that I guess was to make hits in Japan. I guess with some people that qualifies her to be “legend” Her singing and dancing are just sub-par in comparison to others in the industry.
I think that she should come back to Korea a long time ago, but Japan is were all the money is, so why leave?
As for her needing a rest, no one knows what she does in her free time, unless you know her personally, so no one can say that she needs a break :X I am pretty sure that she’s not spending every single moment in a studio and on t.v. shows, and doing concerts. Its nice to see that she does have so many great supporters~
BoA is a Japanese wannabe. If she’s gonna come back to Korea (Her home) why didn’t she like about 1 or 2 years ago. Her voice is whiny now! Everyone’s too used to it. I’m getting bored of her voice. I never really liked her Japanese songs. They were so boring… like her. Sheesh. Just stop singing!

the same goes for DBSK,SUJU, any other korean artists that are dying to expand their careers to other countries. Simply because they can’t make much money in Korea w/o frequently visiting the hospital.

Learn about the history of Kpop dude. While you’re at it, learn about the currency of Yen. It’s a lot compared to Won. Going overseas doesnt mean she’s sold out. She’s just paving a way for her livelihood and other Hallyu artistes too. Without her, dont even think of having your favourite artistes performing in somewhere else other than Korea. Use your brain before you type,please.
